Renée Hankla, President, San Benito County
Renée has directed and designed innovative services for CDCR, County Behavioral Health, Probation, and Sheriff’s Office spanning the past 20 years. She has served in her current role as the Reentry Program Manager since 2016 overseeing inmate programs at the San Benito County Jail, Curtis J. Hill Rehabilitation Center, and community-based reentry services. Her expertise lies in project management, formulating and implementing evidence-based programs, and ensuring seamless client transitional case planning. Some of her achievements include designing the Community Transition Center, launching the “Next Steps” Re-entry Program, and spearheading the first Drug Treatment Court. Additionally, she is honored to have led transformative projects, including the Pretrial Services Program and a new risk and classification system for the jail rehabilitation facility. Renée also currently serves as the Probation Public Information Officer has a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology.
Justin Reeder, Vice President, Mariposa County
Justin has dedicated his life to public service for 28 years by serving in the United States Air Force, Kern County Sheriff’s Office, and the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office. He strives to make improvements to programs for incarcerated persons, always looking for new and creative opportunities. He promotes teamwork, communication and accountability when working with sworn and non-sworn staff to provide the best services possible in hopes of changing incarcerated persons and their family’s lives for the better.
Patricia Ceballos, Secretary, San Diego County
Patricia is the Reentry Services Manager for the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office. Patricia works collaboratively within the Sheriff’s Office to develop, implement and evaluate reentry and rehabilitation services in seven detention and reentry facilities. This includes developing strategic plans to identify key areas for future enhancement opportunities within the Sheriff’s Office. As the Manager of the Reentry Services Division, Patricia oversees a division of professional, sworn and contract staff who provide direct services to the reentry population. Patricia is part of several local, state and national committees focused on creating and implementing best practices within reentry services. Patricia has 18 years of experience in reentry services, program development, facilitation, and training. Patricia holds a Master of Arts in Human Behavior from National University.
Katherine MacMahon, Treasurer, Ventura County
Katherine has been with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office for over 18 years. In her career, Katherine has worked varying roles within Ventura County Sheriff’s Office including Dispatch, Records and Sheriff’s Licensing. In her current role as Program Administrator, she helps oversee the Educational and Vocational in-custody programs. Katherine has taken many courses in adult-based learning programs earning her level 2 Master Instructor advanced P.O.S.T Certifications and is currently working towards her degree in Law, Public Policy, and Society. With her experiences, she always tries to promote creative opportunities and collaboration with both sworn and non-sworn partners. She also spent considerable time volunteering with the Sheriff Office’s Safe Passage program and was nominated for the Sheriff’s Extraordinary Service award in 2019. Katherine is committed to bringing her positive energy and innovative mindset, with a goal of making a lasting impact on the lives of those involved in the justice system.
